In honor of Australian Science Week, Cosmos magazine (in association with the Aussie government, CSIRO, and NASA) is giving everyone a chance to send a brief text message to the distant planet Gliese 581d -- a planet that just might have the right stuff for intelligent life! FYI: Due to the great distance involved (Gliese 581d is 20.3 light years from earth), don't expect a quick reply. Our messages won't even reach their destination until 2029!
