What have you learned about love?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 13, 2009:
I have learned that LOVE is an energy -- a highly active and pervasive energy that benevolently influences everything in the Universe in the direction of alignment and harmony. At the same time, LOVE, by its very nature, being unconditionally accepting, forgiving and kind, allows free-will creatures such as ourselves the possibility of choosing anything we so desire, including misalignment. Thus, given many types of misalignment, LOVE may be experienced in many different ways ranging from blissful to painful. Nevertheless, (borrowing generously from the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.), the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards LOVE.
