What will tomorrow bring?

Posted on Mar 6th, 2008 by Mathew : birthing Mathew
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 06, 2008:

EVERYTHING WE NEED to be happy and fulfilled; the choice is ours to make. Is the Universe/God/Life perfect, benevolent and on our side, or do we live in a harsh, uncaring and random world? This question is key. For the more we are able to consistently believe in the former, regardless of the state of our so-called reality, the more we begin to see evidence that supports our belief. Conversely, the more we allow ourselves to believe in the latter, kicking, railing and resisting as we go, the more we experience the opposite belief to be true. It all boils down to choice. Difficulty, lack and unfairness or synchronicity, flow and abundance? It starts with belief, grows with consistency, and blooms with patience.

At this time and in this place we have either voluntarily incarnated on this isolated, quarantined and stunningly beautiful 3-D galactic outpost in order to intensively study, master and ascend the realm of dualism, OR;  as esteemed graduates of the school of dualism, we have voluntarily agreed to be here in order to extend a gracious hand to those who would welcome our help -- that is, if we are able to "wake up" enough to remember what we already know. Either way, from the perspective of eternity, we are all equal part student and teacher.

Look within and you will know.

"Men go abroad to wonder the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering. "  St. Augustine

What have you learned from having your heart broken?

Posted on Mar 21st, 2008 by Mathew : birthing Mathew
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 21, 2008:

Overflowing_heart_by_infoframe_dynamics
As odd as this may sound, I had to have my heart broken (actually, I would say "crushed" is a more fitting adjective) to know that other than pumping blood, my heart had another purpose, and that was to communicate the truth that often defies the logic and reason of the mind; the truth that cannot always be comprehended by someone who makes all of their decisions through their head. I was 41 years old when this happened to me; when a series of circumstances broke my heart for the very first time (in my adult life), and as a result, brought about a series of unexpected revelations. For one, I suddenly understood that I had closed-off my heart as a child (the last time my heart was broken) in order to survive the emotional pain of my particular brand of family dysfunction. And although it worked well (or so I thought), I had no idea of the repercussions until thirty-something years later, a crushing blow created a sudden opening. And in that instant, I was able to see with great clarity how a childhood defense mechanism had unwittingly cut me off from the gift of divine guidance and wisdom that speaks to all of us through the mind of the heart. And just like that I knew what I had done. And I understood the reason for much of the suffering I had experienced in my life. And I vowed to live with a wide open heart from that point forward.

You can't follow your heart if your heart is closed. And if you can't follow your heart, it is highly improbable (if not impossible) that you will ever find the peace, joy and fulfillment that is yours to have. Ever since my heart was crushed, I have begun to understand the truth of this more and more.

How can we adapt to meet the changes predicted for this century?

Posted on Mar 26th, 2008 by Mathew : birthing Mathew
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 26, 2008:

There are many ways to adapt, however, my unseen friends have been telling me for years that the best way to adapt is by consistently striving to be true to my inner nature -- that state of being I bring to the world when I learn to turn inward for guidance; when I learn to consistently hear, trust and follow the still small voice of my heart. That is the way (to adapt) that will always be in service of the highest good, no matter what the challenge -- small, large, predicted or total surprise.

How do we shift from "Me" to "We"?

Posted on Mar 27th, 2008 by Mathew : birthing Mathew
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 27, 2008:

Shift_happens_txt_lg
I believe that as part and parcel of a celestial master plan for earth and humanity, a vibration or energy of "Oneness" is raining down upon and permeating our world today to a degree that has never been experienced before, and as such, unprecedented numbers of people are being unconsciously stimulated (at first) to awaken to the truth that there is no difference between "me" and "we" -- that what I do to or for you, I am really doing to or for myself. At the same time, as more and more of us become conscious and aware of the truth of Oneness,  I believe that this same energy is also stimulating us to repurpose and reprogram ourselves from a "service to self" orientation to one of "service to others". And so it is that Shift Happens!

How can you be the change that you want to see in the world?

Posted on Mar 28th, 2008 by Mathew : birthing Mathew
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 28, 2008:

Over the past seven years, I have been taught by spirit to make a regular practice of the following: Meditation; Prayer; Being positive; Doing unto others as I would have others do unto me; Following my passions ahead of my logic; Forgiving everyone, including myself (and especially those who have caused me the greatest harm); Looking for the good in all of my experience, even in tragedy; Respecting all life; Being appreciative and grateful; Having faith -- not blind faith, but faith in the perfection of Divine (Unconditional) Love, and faith in myself to discern The Path that is best for me to follow; And last but not least, being patient, patient, patient.

As I do my best to live my life in this way, I also seek to share my experiences with those who are interested, in the hope that they too might follow a similar course of action for themselves, or in the least, be inspired and encouraged to turn inward in search of their own higher wisdom.

What kind of leadership does the world need now?

Posted on Mar 30th, 2008 by Mathew : birthing Mathew
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 30, 2008:

A little more heart and a lot less ego. A little more courage and a lot less fear-mongering. A little more vision and a lot less myopia.

It's amazing how just a little of almost anything can make a world of difference!
