David R. Hawkins talks about it in his book “The I”. I’ve experienced it, in the sense, that: the more you advance spiritualy - and want to advance - and the more you are coming to the “truth” of your SELF (the immortal higher spiritual being that you are), there are moments in which the Ego fight’s back and it litterally seems that dark forces want to take over at moments.
I am such a happy girl, usually, and I put my attention quite a bit for intuiting, finding answers, being. And with ALL my knowledge and already spiritual growth, I find myself in moments in which I feel almost “possessed” by forces out of me, trying to drown me into negativity. It’s like I am watching myself feeling different than I usually would feel in same circumstances.
(I do have to add, that I have a very strong rational part, I don’t believe in bs, I am very skeptical.. I - usually - don’t believe in people who want to make money with spiritual matters, I don’t believe in black wichcraft, neither in evil).
So, here you go. I will find the reference for you.
What I learn about it: the more you grow, the bigger the challenges sometimes. If I take it as just what is, knowing what’s it about, I do also have the certainty that the “real thing”, the “truth”, meaning the spiritual connectedness will always be stronger on a long run.
Like you, I am very skeptical too. Prior to the experience that I reference above, I never believed in evil either. But the experience I had was undeniably weird, and expressed an aspect of existence that I have never known. Also, my wife was a direct participant in that experience, and well, if it was an aspect of my ego self coming through, then we will both have to radically change our definition of ego! That said, I am not out to convince anyone that evil exists. I simply write about my experience as it happened, without judgement. Like you, I am a happy person.

Yes, these Hawkins quotes are pretty new for me, too, and they came to me in answer to a couple of recent ocurrences. (That’s the nice thing, you ask and the answers are given, istn’t it!).

Thanks, Silke. Yes – I like how the Universe answers our questions. A few years ago the work of Hawkins came to my attention through a reference that Wayne Dyer made in his book “The Power of Intention” to Hawkins book “Power vs. Force”. As I recall, the info was direct validation for something I had been puzzling over at the time.

From Power vs. force”e is going so much further in his next and next books: ”The Eye of the I” and “The I, Reality & Subjectivity”. The last one (from 2008), nevertheless, I feel he’s getting old..
