Which foreign country or culture do you feel most drawn toward?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 18, 2008:
This is going to sound weird, but for the longest time I have been drawn towards a culture that isn't of this Earth. I experience this through my feelings in the form of a deep-seated longing. I can't really explain it other than to say that for many years I have held a fascination for Orion's Belt. I also began to channel my spirit guide several years ago, and was surprised when he told me that he hails from the Andromeda Galaxy. In fact, I laughed heartily in disbelief when he told me that, thinking it sounded like something out of Star Trek -- however, since that conversation I have met several people who confess to similar feelings. Anyway, I can't tell you anything in particular about this place in the stars, other than I know in my heart it is a place where unconditional love is understood and practiced by all, and that I long for the days when I can once again be a part of something similar. (Otherwise, I find all cultures of this Earth equally fascinating, which basically means I am not drawn to any one country or culture any more than another.)

Help

Although I do not share similar feelings, I do believe that even our little ole orb would be a whole lot nicer and improve spiritually if we allowed each other to have our differences and I embrace your journey amongst the stars and Orion's belt. I hope that one day a visitor will come and usher me across the universe for a little tour. I mean no disrespect by this next comment, for it is just a comment about how something we read can jog something else. When I read Orion's belt I immediately thought of the cat from Men In Black that had the galaxy around it's neck suspended from a collar. I'm also reminded of one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen and still watch greatly today. 'Contact' starring Jodie Foster. Have a great day Matthew and keep on thinking on!
Hi Michael,
Thanks for your comments. I appreciate you dropping by and sharing – even your memory about the cat's collar from MIB – that's too funny!!! Like you, I also very much enjoyed the film “Contact”. And I strongly agree with your comment –

That tour of the universe sounds grand. Be sure to let us know all about it! :-)
this is not a wise and insightful comment, but
traveling the universe involves, not miles, or hours or days, but light years! that's too small for our small lifetime.
anyway, was good reading. where the sun cannot reach, a human mind can. that's the greatness of our thought.
you have a nice day!
Hi Ramesh,
Maybe this isn't exactly the meaning you were driving at but I once had an experience in meditation where I travelled at great speed through outer space. It was an amazing experience! Whether or not the sights I saw were “real” or simply from my imagination, I can't say – but it sure looked and felt real – and over the course of the minute or two that it lasted, with the number of stars and planets that I whipped passed, I must have travelled light years!
“…where the sun cannot reach, a human mind can. that's the greatness of our thought.” :-)
Good to meet you, Ramesh. You have a nice day too!

:-D
Don't let Ramesh make you doubt.
He's not from our Solar System.
LMAO :-D
LMAO!!! You are too funny, Ariela. Thanks for the encouragement!

Check out my simple and succinct response, LOL.
Have you ever made hypnotic regression (Brian Weiss sells even Cd’s for
your home - delight), to give you more inside in that perception. Even, what you describe seems more like a trip
into the future. But since time doesn’t really exists. .who knows what
universe has in store for us!! Great insight.
And, sorry I am using your blog to send this message to CHAOS DIVINE:
Not everything seems to be the way we think it is (David Hawkins
says that we can only see what we expect to see). When I saw your three
comments on my grapevine and had a moment to answer and thank you -which I couldn’t -,
it took me about 2 weeks to figure out, that it wasn’t my computer nor
the Gaia system what didn’t allowed me to thank you, but that you’ve
actually blogged me.
I am very sorry if my timing did caused you any discomfort. I did very
much enjoyed your comments and conversations we had and didn’t meant no harm
to you. It’s just, that I didn’t used to check my profile page very
often and couldn’t, as it appears to me, satisfy your need of having an earlier response. No heartfeelings. Be well!

I have never tried hypnotic regression – I think that would be cool! I am familiar with Brian Weiss (loved, “Only Love is Real”, and “Messages from the Masters”. But I never knew about his CD – thanks for the tip. Also, no problem using my blog to post a message to Chaos Divine. I hope you find the resolution you are looking for.
Love,
Mathew
I get most of the books and Cd’s at Amazon (because of the great prices). You can find several ones from Brian Weiss. I went to see him some weeks ago in SF (I always like to “check the spiritual guru’s out”. I really liked him, as an authentic person.
What’s amazing to me is the simplicity of hypnotic regression. I always thought it would be a big deal, but it’s not. The important part I get out for myself, rather then dwelling about “Ohh, I was this and that” the actually MESSAGE told/reveled to me about certain things I was in the process of learning.
Just another tool!!
